We are looking for a IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide the organization with information technology support to optimize operational efficiency. Your primary duties will include resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software installations, and improving IT systems
Working hours 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm or 4:00 pm - 12:00 am
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to onsite and remote end-users following established industry best practices.
- Provide administrative service and support for servers, desktop computers, switches, firewalls, telephones, smartphones, application deployment, security updates and protection, and other computer-related systems and devices depending on the company’s needs.
- Deploy computers and peripherals.
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, hardware and software, peripheral equipment, and other systems needed.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for the department such as instruction guides, policies, and procedures, and update them as needed.
- Compile and create training and usage manuals for both legacy, current, and new systems.
- Respond to requests via the ticketing system and update tickets as needed while communicating changes and status to direct managers.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment by following design and installation specifications and procedures.
- Actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
- Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions.
- May be required to perform other tasks and duties reasonably related to job responsibilities.
Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- C1 Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
- 2-4 years related experience or related certifications in lieu of degree,
- Experience with setting up, configuring & troubleshooting PC Hardware & Chrome OS Devices.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10;
- Experience with Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel);
- Familiar with Chrome OS, Microsoft Windows Server 2016/201,9, and Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
- Experience with administrating cloud-based SaaS applications like Google Workspace, O365, Slack, etc.
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking.
- Experience using helpdesk ticketing systems;
- Experience installing, maintaining, and deploying Printers/Scanners;
- Experience with Internet Browsers such as Edge, Firefox, and Chrome.
- Ensure the security of our systems and foster a culture of enabling users and encouraging compliance with policies
- Skilled at multitasking; able to coordinate, organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities and unexpected situations;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
- Familiarity with installation, maintenance, configuration, and deployment of Printers and Scanners.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, and software, and Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
- Active listening skills.
- Communicating complex information in digestible amounts.
